Earth day encourages each of us to invest in our planet and to demonstrate support for environmental protection. On earth day 2020, over 100 million people around the world observed the 50th anniversary of what is referred to as the largest online mass mobilization in history.

3 earth day fun facts: the hippies were the trailblazers, with the first earth day in 1970. the massive oil spill in January, 1969 in Santa Barbara, California sparked the idea for earth day. it’s known as “international mother earth day” around the world.
